Zongwei planned out the perfect proposal and it all started with a nice walk on the beach with the skyline of San Diego in the distance. Jennifer and Zongwei were friends at UCLA. They got to know each other better through classes and hanging out at Intervarsity events. Before they graduated, Zongwei mustered up his courage to sing a song and ask Jennifer to be his girlfriend.

After college, Jennifer moved to San Diego to pursue more education while Zongwei started working in Irvine. They continued to date and grow their relationship despite the long distance. Many weekends were spent driving between Irvine and San Diego for some quality time together.

This weekend was even more special. Zongwei picked a special location - where they shared their first kiss, on Coronado Island. He expressed his feelings and dreams for the future with her and then got on his knee to ask the big question. She said yes!
